Relay Statuses Explained

Understand the different relay statuses and when to use each one.

Available Statuses

Relays progress through different statuses as a transaction moves forward. You can change the status at any time using the status dropdown on the relay card or detail page:

  • None — Default for lease, other, and real estate other types.
  • Pre-Listing — Before the property is listed (listing types).
  • Pre-Offer — Before an offer is submitted (purchase type).
  • Active Listing — The property is actively listed on the market.
  • Under Contract — An offer has been accepted and a contract is in place.
  • Pending — The deal is pending final closing.
  • Sold — The transaction has closed (sale).
  • Leased — The lease has been signed (lease).
  • Occupied — The tenant has moved in.
  • Expired — The listing has expired.
  • Canceled — The transaction was canceled.
  • Archived — The relay has been archived for record-keeping.

Closing Confirmation

When you change a relay status to Sold, Leased, or Occupied, CloseRelay will prompt you to confirm the sale/lease price and the closing date. This information is used for reporting and is displayed on the relay card.
